32,768 Invitations on my iPad calendar. This has to be a bug. #orly

Whenever I leave the Calendar app running in the background, the number of invitations that appear when I wake from sleep keep going up. This is quite the annoyance, but fortunately can be mitigated by quitting the Calendar app. Kind of a pain to do regularly, but I'm afraid it will somehow blow up if I keep letting it grow. The largest it's gotten was somewhere on the 75k range. I don't want to see what happens when it hits 6 digits.
